i wish there was a music app, kinda like pandora radio, but where you not only choose the music style but also songs that are appropriate for the time of day. like upbeat happy and energetic tunes in the morning, and lower tempos and more relaxed genres in the evening.
chronotunes.
patent pending. im super stoned.
Spent the weekend lurking around bathurst for Newtons Nation 2013, and epic downhill skateboarding race on mount panorama. I wasn’t skating this year, instead I was sleeping in, rocking up to the mountain late and taking photos all day. It was a pretty good way to live.
Caught up with a few old friends, skaters or otherwise, met a whole bunch of people, smoke a whole lot of weed and generally had a good time.
Photos coming soon!
up at 7:30 this morning. got 2 jobs today.
going into the city to photograph some music duet type deal, then straight back to the restaurant until closing time.
i’m going to be so tired.
worked my first shift at a tapas restaurant today. being a kitchen hand is good, always work to do. defs stoked on making money.
It’s done. I finished. I edited all of the wedding photos. I’ve ended up with about 215 photos to give to da client, I’m pretty stoked.
So I photographed a wedding yesterday. It was my first and I was the only photographer. I was equipped with a 7D, a 600D, a 24-70 f/2.8, an 85mm f/1.8 and a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6. I had so much fun, it was a huge challenge and a lot of work constantly running around, but I feel like I did a good job. I shot almost 32GB of images, and sorting/editing them has got to be one of the most mind numbing things I’ve done for a while, but it feels really good to be busy.
Will upload a couple of my favourites soon!

Today’s been pretty balls. Had to miss a mate’s party because I’ve been feeling super sick, slept all day until about 4, and some misc. personal stuff has just been going pretty poorly. Tomorrow will be better, but right now I’m just feeling pretty shit about everything.
I’ve ordered a new lens, an 85mm f/1.8
Should hopefully be here this week, I’m so keen. I’ve recently made the decision to focus (no pun intended) more on my portrait photography. People are just so much fun to photograph, and I feel like it’s something that with a bit more practice I could really take to a more professional level.
It’s been a bit of a dream of mine to open my own photo studio. And lately, taking a lot of portrait photos for friends and family as sort of small jobs (ie getting payed) has really made me think a lot more about actually making a career out of it. I’ll work on that. Anyone want some portraits done?
Anyhoo. That’s what’s happening with me.
Byron was spectacular. For me, it was all about the day times. Learnt to surf, skimboarded err’ day, climbing on ship wrecks, taking over 1900 photos, swimming, eating good food and of course jumped out of a fuckin’ aeroplane.
I’m a bit bummed to be back in Sydney, everybody in Byron was so wonderful, you can walk up to anyone and have a chat, there is this awesome lack of ego among everyone there, no one cares about what you wear, how you look, how you have your hair or anything, as long as you’re friendly; my fucking kind of place.
I won’t talk about the negative parts of the trip, because I really think they don’t need mentioning. Overall it was a very spiritually and mentally cleansing trip, and I can’t wait to continue this awesome summer on Monday when I go to Thailand.
Im fucking off to byron and then thailand for a while. So I am entrusting my blog to the will of littlenipplez. Enjoy the wrath that is her sense of humour.
Farewell.
(ill be back in 2 - 3 weeks)
Right, so. Out of the fucking blue I’m doing an interview and photo with the daily telegraph this afternoon about schoolies.. This should be interesting…
